35th Wedding Anniversary - Gifts to Buy and Ways to Celebrate

Although coral is the traditional gift for the 35th wedding anniversary, jade is becoming a popular modern twist on the idea.

Either way, both are lovely materials and can be interpreted in several different ways.

Jewelry, of course, is the easiest thing to find when it comes to coral or jade. If you are buying a gift for your wife on your anniversary, then finding a beautiful necklace with a jade setting can be a wonderful gift. Coral earrings are also a popular gift item, too. Of course, not every woman wears jewelry, so this might not be the most appropriate 35th wedding anniversary gift for your spouse.

On the other hand, if your husband likes jewelry, then it might be a good gift for him! Watches can be found with jade stones, as can expensive and handsome cuff links, too.

If you would like to find something for the home, then you probably won't have any trouble locating jade sculptures, jade bonsai plants, and jade or coral bowls or other dining accessories.

To build loosely on the coral concept, if your husband really likes nautical inspired items, then you could incorporate coral with sailboat sculptures, beautiful nautical paintings, or tools for his boat if he likes to sail.

Of course, you could take a trip in order to celebrate your 35th wedding anniversary and visit a place that is known for its jade or coral. A trip to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, for instance, would be a great way to celebrate your anniversary - as well as see some beautiful coral.

If you don't want to purchase actual jade, then you can also use the color jade as a reference when buying gifts. A beautiful jade colored dress for your wife, or a gift wrapped in jade colored wrapping paper, might be fun. Likewise, you can also use the color coral when it comes to your gift giving ideas as well.

If you are considering a party to celebrate your 35th wedding anniversary, then think about having a beach themed party, such as a luau, where you can incorporate coral into your decorations. If you love oriental food, then perhaps you would want to have a dinner party where the menu revolves around food from the Orient, complete with jade-colored decorations.

There are quite a few ways that you can be creative with the 35th wedding anniversary. Although it might appear at first that coral and jade are limiting, by letting your imagination run wild a little bit, you might be surprised at how many options there really are when it comes to these particular materials.
