Here are some nice and creative Halloween costume ideas you could explore.

• This one you can make yourself and, while it's not glamorous, you'll be the only one dressed up like a Rubik's Cube. It's easy to do, but you'll need to get a moving box that's about medium sized (check your big box hardware stores). Cut holes for your head and arms and use large pieces of construction paper (blue, yellow, red and green work well) to make the squares. If you want to make it easier, choose large pieces of colored paper and look like a "completed" cube. Be sure to use a permanent marker to draw a grid pattern for the squares. Wear black or colored leggings and you've got one of the most creative costumes out there.
  
  
• Dress up like the iPod commercial. This creative Halloween costume is easy and fun to do. All you need to do is dress in all black, paint your face and hands black, spray your hair black, and attach a poster board of blue, green or even yellow to your back as the background. You should preferably carry a white iPod, but any iPod will do; add your ear buds and dance any way you like. Everyone will get it, but no one will know why they didn't think of it.
  
  
• If you have a group of seven, you could always be the seven deadly sins. This can be easy and creative, with each of you deciding how you want your "sin" to look and how complicated you want your costume to be.
  
  
• If you want a creative Halloween costume that lots of youngsters might not get, but the thirty something's will definitely remember, why not be a smurf? Couples can have a really good time with this when the lady is smurfette and the guy is anyone from Papa Smurf to any of the other strapping blue guys. If it's warm, you can paint yourself, or if it's cold, add a tight fitting blue shirt with white pants and paint your hands and face blue, then add the white shoes and hat to make the outfit. Smurfette? A white sleeveless dress over a blue long sleeved leotard or body suit will do really well, add white shoes, a blonde wig and white hat and you've got one of the most creative Halloween costumes in a long time.
  
  
• Here's another creative Halloween costume idea - how about being a crayon? This requires some felt, but you choose the color and the rest will be easy. You might even be able to find the "top" of the crayon at craft stores, or if you're being a primary colored crayon, you can always buy an inexpensive birthday hat in the same color.

Keep in mind that when you're working to make a truly creative Halloween costume, the details really make a difference. Don't feel like you have to go buy a costume or be blatantly "sexy" if it's originality that you seek. Instead, get creative and make it yourself.
