With about four dozen squares of caramels, a cup of milk chocolate chips, 1/2 cup each of walnut and almonds (or another nuts of your choice), you can grace the recipient of your gift with Nutty Caramels - and oh, are they ever as good as they are easy. Melt the chocolate, and then dip the caramels half way into the chocolate. Before setting each candy aside to dry, roll them in nuts.

Give your last minute Christmas gifts in bright holiday bags you have purchased, or make one of your own. Ideas would include making a cute reindeer gift bag from inexpensive items like wiggle eyes and construction paper as well as a brown paper bag. Snowmen can be fashioned from a white paper bag and make lovely bags for giving. Use a couple of wiggle eyes, small jingle bells and construction paper.

Candy wreaths are stunning, especially with a big beautiful bow at the top and a pair of scissors hanging to easily get off a piece of wrapped hard candy. Striped peppermints, in red and white or green and white, with a solid red wrapped one thrown in here or there, make a very easy last minute Christmas gift. Soft taffy type Christmas candy makes another pretty wreath.

If you do not have the time or the ingredients for a hot chocolate cone (3/4 cup cocoa mix, 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips and 3/4 cup mini marshmallows, along a couple of cone shaped bags and twist ties), grab a package of hot chocolate packets and pop them into a mug with a couple of chocolate, caramel or peanut butter covered spoons.

Small canning jars are good for more than just canning jellies or jams; though they are pretty all right in themselves. Painted a bright color and splattered with some white paint, they make a pretty great candle holder, or they can house bath salts that you have prepared. This last minute Christmas gift is as easy as Epsom salts, food coloring, the jar, a ribbon for the top and some perfume or essential oil.
