New Year's Eve Vacation Getaways - Trip Ideas to Celebrate the OccasionAre you seeking some New Year's Eve vacation ideas? The year has been a long and tough one. As the end of the year rolls by, you get to take a moment to rejoice and remember the wonderful accomplishments of the past twelve months, and at the same time reflect on the trying events of the past year. Perhaps you also want to take a break, and are pondering what the best New Year's Eve vacation destinations are. Ultimately, it doesn't matter where you go, but some places will certainly be more kid friendly than others. If you have kids in tow, then where you choose to celebrate the New Year will be dependent on that.
Disney For families as well as couples, Disneyland or Disneyworld offers one of the best and safest ways to spend New Year's. It ranks as one of the top New Year's Eve vacations and they pull out all the stops for their guests. You can celebrate with Mickey Mouse or Peter Pan and ride the world famous rides. You may be older and haven't stayed up to actually ring in the New Year since you were a kid, but that doesn't mean you have to give up on your New Year's Eve getaway to Disneyland. It's a great place for children of all ages and, if you decide to call it a night well before the clock strikes midnight, then that just means that you'll be able to take advantage of a relatively quiet morning at the theme park.
New York City's Times Square This is the quintessential New Year's Eve vacation destination. This isn't a place for the faint of heart. When more than one million revelers pack into a small, confined space, there is bound to be some instances of trouble. However, New York City has become so efficient at hosting the New Year's Eve celebration that any problems are few and far between. It is an experience that millions of people share and it's also one that almost all who have done it at least once say should be experienced by everyone.
Cruise Why not spend your New Year's Eve vacation on a cruise? Sure, the weather turns colder, but not in the Caribbean. The closer you get to the equator, the warmer the temperature stays all year around. A cruise can be an incredible way to celebrate the New Year, make new friends, and experience things you might not otherwise experience in your life. Cruise liners go all out for the New Year's celebration and, when you're there, you get an experience that you will likely cherish for a lifetime.
Staycation Of course, the newest term that's been created during these past few years for people who can't afford to really get away has been the 'staycation.' Instead of spending money on hotels, flights, and all of the other activities that go along with a New Year's Eve vacation, you can simply stay home, but create the atmosphere of being away. Set up your den like it's New York City. Create cardboard cutouts of the buildings and place a TV in the room. When you watch the ball drop, you can pretend that you're really there. Invite friends over and just let loose!
