Still, you can make it more creative by going to a drive-in instead of to a standard cinema, and cooking dinner at home before the film instead of going to a restaurant.

During the summertime, some cities host movie nights in the park, and this can be a lot of fun. You can bring your picnic blanket and basket and have an evening under the stars. Some cinemas also show classic films, which can be a fun alternative to the big Hollywood blockbusters.

If you want romantic ideas for teens which are a little more active, then consider going on a hike. It doesn't have to be a strenuous climb, unless that's what you want. Take a picnic lunch with you. You could also take your digital cameras and have a contest to see who can take the best, or silliest, picture while you're out.

Other fun romantic athletic dates include horseback riding, ice skating, and going for sunset walks. Although walks on the beach can be very romantic, if you don't live near the ocean, then a walk near a creek or in a nature reserve can be just as special.

Although people don't use tapes much anymore, the idea of the "mixed tape" is still alive and well in the form of CDs. Put together a CD of songs that are special to the two of you. To make the CD even more special, play it while you go for a sunset or evening drive, and top the drive off with some ice cream. Ice cream never goes out of style!

Keeping with the times, a nice text message letting him / her know that he / she is on your mind, or a Facebook or Myspace message, can really go a long way as romantic ideas for teens. You don't have to make it public, unless you want to.

Don't underestimate the power of doing little things for your partner. Even a well-placed candybar in his / her locker lets him / her know that you are thinking about him / her, and are thinking about the time that you are going to spend with him / her in the future.
